The candles are handmade in Indonesia from 100% palm wax – a natural material from a rapidly renewable source, the fruit of the oil palm. Making palm wax is similar to producing essential oils – the oil is pressed and distilled. The same oil is used in many high-quality hand creams, shampoos and other cosmetics. It is a pure, GMO-free, practically food-grade raw material. Palm wax candles release no harmful toxins or soot when burning and burn down cleanly. The wax blend contains no paraffin, lead or zinc, and all wicks are made of pure cotton. The product is made following Fair Trade principles, and production uses as much handwork as possible so that as many people as possible can earn a living. 80% of the candle makers are women. No animal-derived materials are used in making the candles. The candles are an eco-friendly product.

Manipura is the third chakra, also called the navel chakra and the centre of action and power.

Manipura gives us the strength to act, the ability to persuade, and protection from everything negative. The pure energy of the navel chakra helps us achieve self-control, find our place in life and express our true talents in work and creativity. This chakra also governs joy, good humour, charisma, authority, inner radiance and a sense of humour.

By helping the energies of this chakra flow freely, we remove excess tension from our lives that comes from irritability, power struggles, possessiveness, a thirst for fame, rage and fears. Traditionally, Manipura is also associated with the digestive fire – our inner fire and vitality.

The Manipura chakra is located in the spine, roughly behind the navel.

The main colour of the chakra is yellow.

Of the natural elements, this chakra corresponds to fire.

Of the five senses, Manipura governs sight.

In traditional chakra teachings, the navel chakra is associated with the abdomen and the solar plexus.

The "Manipura" scented candle contains 3% essential oils: bergamot (Citrus bergamia), lime (Citrus aurantifolia) and grapefruit (Citrus paradisi).

Please take care!
